Class Description

 

Hop in, we’re taking a ride through art history. Together we’ll meet the masters of modern art and learn how ( and why ) they made their work. In this class, we celebrate the strange and unusual; the brave and the bold. Applying art appreciation to daily life, we will learn how to pay closer attention to the beauty in our world, and ourselves.

Class Supplies

 

– Surface to draw / write / paint on.

 

( ideas: cardboard, paper, an old book, a sketchbook, a journal, a napkin, whatever it takes. somethin’ around the house )

 

– Something to write / draw / paint with.

 

( ideas: pencils, pens, brushes, sticks, stones, whatever you want, whatever you have, we can make a lot of things out of nothin’ )

 

– Something to color / paint with.

 

( ideas: colored pencils, crayons, pastels, markers, watercolors, acrylic paint, grapes, blueberries, coffee, tea, mom’s lipstick, all of the above )
