Hailing from The Streets of New York, Devro D. Delk, known to many as DJ Gabie “The Gift” , is one of the most talented, and dedicated disc jockeys that the music industry has seen. Born and raised in Ruff Buff (Buffalo, NY) the home of Rick James, DJ Gabie “The Gift” grew up with a passion for music and the arts. In 1992, DJ Gabie “The Gift” put out an album called “The Fanatic Swing” with the group the Hip Hop Fanatics, who was signed to the Kick Azz/Itchybon Record label.  This was the beginning of a long career in entertainment.

After the album dropped, DJ Gabie “The Gift” put all of his efforts into being a world-class disc jockey and performer showcasing his talents in many venues. He moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1994, to begin working as a disc jockey on the comedy circuit where he worked with people like Donnell “Ashy Larry” Rawlings, Mike Epps, Dave Chappelle, Charlie Murphy, Talent, Tracy Morgan, and other top comedians and actors. Working beside these talented people, led DJ Gabie “The Gift” to add acting to his repertoire. He can be seen on seasons 1 and 2 of The Chappelle Show now in syndication as well as movies like Belly, 42 (the Jackie Robinson Story) and others. His collaboration with Suga aka Sweet Tee and Star from Star & Bucwild led to monthly appearances on Broadway, several appearances on MTV and late nights on Hot97 in NYC. During this time DJ was also teaching at the Scratch Academy founded by Jam Master Jay from Run-DMC.

With music still being his first love, DJ Gabie “The Gift” really began to make a name for himself when he went on tour with top artists like 50 Cent, Mad Lion, GP Wu and more… He’s travelled all over the world doing gigs. From 2008-2010 DJ Gabie “The Gift” also was the disc jockey for the Charlotte Checkers Hockey Team. During that time he continued to give back, this time working with the DJ school known as Sprite With These Handz DJ Academy, giving troubled teens a safe outlet.

DJ Gabie “The Gift” now resides in Atlanta, GA and continues to perform around the world. DJ Gabie “The Gift” has already accomplished a lot and he has no plans of stopping now. He has several projects in the works. Having such a determination for success and a passion for expressing his talents, no wonder he is known as “The Gift”. Teaching, Giving, and Replenishing the Hip Hop Culture through Deejaying is his passion. Technical skills matched with just the right amount of personality is DJ Gabie “The Gift” combination for entertainment. Outside of the joy of Deejaying he is a genuine person that loves to share “The Gift”. Having these qualities will keep him around for years to come. With Turntables and Deejaying being two of the biggest trends in the world. There are more people with the experience needed to keep The Culture growing. And that means Good Teaching.
