Photography 101
Class Description
This class teaches the basics of photography. You’ll learn to properly use your camera and to use the three most important functions: shutter speed, aperture and ISO. We will also talk about composition and lighting, and how these tie into taking the best possible photo.
Class Requirements
This class teaches students how to use their DSLR camera, so they must have one to participate in lessons and homework assignments.
Class Supplies
Students are required to have a DSLR camera for this class. Otherwise I often suggest taking notes, whether that be with pen and paper or on your iPad 😀
FAQ
Does any camera work for this class?
No, just because your camera must have a "manual" option. This class aims to teach the student how to use their camera and take a dynamic photo and in order to do this, they must be able to adjust the appropriate settings. So the camera must have 3 functions: shutter speed, aperture and ISO. The student must be able to change these settings to take the best photo possible for their surroundings. That’s how we do it!
